Saint Grigor the “Illuminator” (Krikor Loosavorich), Father and Patron of the Armenian Church. In 301 A.D. Saint Grigor converted King Tidat III, King of Armenia, and Christianity was declared the national religion of Armenia. Thus, Armenia became the first Christian Nation in the world in the year 301 A.D.
