Grape Varieties: Several local varieties, predominately the Touriga Franca grape variety. From vine over 90 years old.

Opaque in the center with narrow purple/bluish rim. Aroma of very fresh black fruits with hints of spices, light charred wood and excellent oak aromas. Flavor is full-bodied with juicy ripe flavors of black fruits and violets. Powerful silky tannins. Very long and complex finish.

Aged 15 months in 2251 French oak barrels

Goes well with red meat, gamey and seasoned dishes. It is also a good match for traditional Mediterranean dishes.
